My Insights on Week 8

Hi Jodi, Sherie and all friends,

At the beginning of the week, I felt very eager when I thoroughly read about the tasks! ANVILL, teaching with online tools articles, creating an online or offline task, and the project draft, all captured my attention and filled me with thrill to explore them.

Out of the blue, my inspiration and enthusiasm fade
leading me nowhere! The due date of the project draft was about to take place, without any further progress!
Unfortunately, I was STUCK!

At that moment, I couldn't help expressing my misery on the wiki, where I received much of the support from Jodi and other friends, the fact that filled me with persistence and with an overnight, I was able to submit the draft just in the nick of time.

That was the most torturing experience I've ever had during this course and that I like to share with you.

  2. Dear Nihmat,

You are in a good company if this makes you feel a bit at ease. This week was hard for me too and due emergency reasons, I had to be away from my laptop almost all week. When the deadline approached and I had nothing in hand, I was stuck! but things got better eventually and submitted my first draft.
So just Hang in there and all will be fine :)

    Best,
    Sylvia, Lebanon

    1. Dear Sylvia,
I feel glad hearing from you that everything is getting along well.
The course is really wonderful, but due dates are miserable! I feel always in a hurry to submit everything just on time. In the last two weeks, all my assignments are submitted just in the nick of time, something I totally dislike.
Best of luck in the final project and other tasks.

  3. Dear Nihmat,

I am very sorry to hear that you experienced such difficulties. I wish I knew and could help. I am happy to know that you made a break through and submitted the project.

I wish to say that a real learning process can't go without frustrations. Learning is about changing something within us, and it is always painful.

I always felt deep frustration when I could not participate in the on-line session. I was so angry with myself, because I had a lot of time in the morning and in the afternoon, and I spent it reading the reports and the discussions, instead of adjusting the equipment.

However, the other day was rewarding, as I had a very effective session with the crossword puzzle.

I wish you have you rewarding something to fell high again and to regain your self confidence. Whatever happens to us is for the better, and I wish you this better to come soon.

    1. Hi Val,
You're such a sweet lady to offer help to someone you are just acquainted with! People around you are definitely lucky about your company.
Due to the fact that people in this class are too friendly, I often share such experiences with you.
Yes, I feel frustrated too when I'm late to discussion because I know I miss something too important. I truly enhanced my knowledge from the discussions with everybody in this class.
Thanks, Val, for your sincere wishes that I have to bestow them to you.

  4. Dear Nihmat,

Look at you now, YOU'VE DONE IT!

Oh yes, this week was heavy on all of us just to say the least. I myself felt stuck or going in circles in my reprises. I was awake when everyone else was asleep, well expect you! I spent 3 sleepless nights at the beginning of the week working on my project till 6:00 AM then go to my early class. Haven't done so, I wouldn't have been able to meet the deadline and my work standards.

As Val expressed it, there is always a price to pay for the learning. Unfortunately, you pay in frustration, stress and sleepless nights. At the end, your achievement justifies the price paid. That is value for learner's commitment.

I wish you a better week, paved with further success and pride.

Good luck with your final project.

    1. Hi Hassan,
Some overnights!!! How demanding and challenging these weeks are!!
However,I have to thank you again here on this blog page for all the support you showed during the last week. I was overwhelmed with lots of tasks to do at work and in the course, and the worst of all, feeling stuck with no valid ideas to rely on; only then I felt pity for low achievers as I experienced their embarrassment and helplessness!!!
Best of wishes on your final project and other tasks to fulfill.
      Nihmat
